Ingredients: 200g flour, 1 ½ tsp of baking powder, 1 tbsp caster sugar, 3 eggs, 25g melted butter, 200ml of milk, and vegetable oil.

Method of cooking: Take a large bowl and pour the flour, baking powder, caster sugar, and a small pinch of salt into it. Mix all the ingredients well, and then add the eggs with melted butter and milk. You can make use of an electric hand beater or blender till the batter becomes smooth.

Now, take a non-stick frying pan and add 1 tsp of oil and a small piece of butter. Heat it on medium flame. Pour the batter in the pan and give them a round shape during cooking. Cook one side of the pancake for around 1-2 minutes. You will understand whether or not it is cooked properly from the tiny bubbles that start to appear on it. Now, repeat the process by cooking the other side of it. You can add toppings of your choice as well. Just a yummy splash of maple syrup will surely tantalize your taste buds.

Chicken Scampi Pasta

Be ready with the ingredients: 1 pound chicken cutlets, Kosher salt, olive oil, unsalted cubed butter, sliced garlic, cloves, chilly flakes,  dry white wine, 12 ounces angel hair pasta, lemon juice, Parmesan (freshly grated), and chopped Parsley.

Method of cooking: Boil the pasta by adding a pinch of salt and keep it separately. Now, sprinkle some salt over chicken cutlet and heat it on medium flame by adding oil in the frying pan. Let it turn golden brown and then keep it on a plate. Take a separate skillet and add butter, garlic, red pepper flakes to cook for 1 minute until the garlic turns golden from the edges. Add wine and cook it for 2 more minutes.

Simultaneously, cook the pasta and add it in the skillet with cooked chicken, lemon juice and some more butter according to your taste preference. Gently stir the pasta and add more water into it if it looks too dry. To serve better, add some grated cheese and parsley. Enjoy the meal!

Ground Beef Tacos

Ingredients: ground beef, chopped onion, chilly powder, tomato sauce, garlic powder, taco shells, cheese, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, salsa sauce, sour cream (optional).

Directions: Take a skillet and cook ground beef with chopped onion for around 10 minutes till the beef is cooked nicely. Add salt, garlic powder, tomato sauce, and chilly powder and cover the pan with a lid for 8 to 10 minutes. Heat the microwave for 5 minutes at 250°F and meanwhile place taco shells in it. Layer the beef mixture on each taco shell and add cheese, lettuce, and chopped tomatoes too. You can serve them with salsa sauce and sour cream if you want.

As Christmas is around the corner, a chocolate cheesecake will make you a fantastic host this festive season.

Ingredients: 150g digestive biscuits or choco-chip cookies, 45g butter, 110g caster sugar, 150g melted dark chocolate, 12oml whipped cream, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, and 200g cream cheese.

Method:  Take a large bowl and add the crushed biscuits with melted butter and caster sugar. Put the batter in a cake tin and refrigerate the mixture. Now, take the whipped cream and add the melted chocolate and cocoa powder in it. Blend it well to avoid chunks. It’s time to add cream cheese in the mixture and spread this batter on top of the crushed biscuits. Freeze it for an hour and then serve.

Steak and Kidney Pie

Ingredients: 1 pastry, 1 pound beef kidney, 2 pounds of steak, 2 chopped onions, 1 bay leaf, salt, black pepper, potatoes, Worcestershire sauce, 4 cups of water.

Method:  Take a bowl and add salted water with beef to refrigerate overnight. To cook the meat, take a pot and add onions, 1 1/2 cups water, seasonings and put the fame on sim for about 1 hour. Now add the potatoes and cook it for at least half an hour until they are tender. Stir the mixture well. Now roll out the pastry and place the meat mixture all over it. Bake it for 30 minutes at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Serve it hot.

Classic British Fish & Chips

Ingredients: Potatoes cut into fine strips, 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, baking powder, salt, black pepper, vegetable oil for cooking, and 1 1/2 pounds cod fillets.

Method: Take a bowl and add potatoes slices in the cold water. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, black pepper, and salt together. Now, add milk and egg. Continue to blend it until the batter becomes smooth enough. To fry the potatoes in hot oil, preheat the skillet to 350 degrees F. Cover the fish with the mixture and put them in hot oil until it turns golden brown. You can fry the potatoes once again to make them more crispy. Do not fry for more than 2 minutes.

Hyderabadi Biryani

Ingredients: 1 kg meat, salt, ginger garlic paste, red and green chili paste, cardamom powder, cumin seeds, Cinnamon sticks,  cloves, mint leaves, lemon juice, 250 gms curd, butter, 750 gms rice, saffron, water,  cooking oil, carrots, cucumbers, coriander leaves for garnishing.

Method: 

Take a pan and add meat, ginger paste, red chili powder, green chili paste, cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, onions, cloves, lemon juice, and mint leaves. Mix them well together, and then put curd, butter, semi-cooked rice, water, and oil.  Now, cover the lid of the pan for about 30 minutes.  You can garnish it with coriander leaves and boiled eggs to serve your guests in a better way.

Malai Kofta

Ingredients: Panner, cashews, ginger and garlic paste, red chili powder, salt, mustard oil, flour, garam masala powder, cardamom, chopped tomatoes, melon seeds, curd, fresh cream, coriander leaves.

Method:  Firstly, cook the tomatoes by mixing the given ingredients well. Only 1 whistle in the pressure cooker will do the work. Cool the mixture and blend it well with the use of a blender. Now, add yogurt in the mixture and keep it separately. Meanwhile, prepare a mix of paneer by adding salt, cardamom powder, and flour.

After mixing them well, take a small portion of the mixture and create small round shapes out of it that look like koftas. Now, take a frying pan and add oil and ghee in it. Deep fry the koftas and once they turn light brown and golden, take them out and drain the excess oil. It’s time to put the gravy to boil by adding garam masala and fresh cream. Place the deep-fried koftas in the gravy and garnish it with coriander leaves.

Dal Makhni

Take a kadhai/vessel, put the oil, and add onions once the oil is heated enough. Cook till the onions turn light brown. Now put tomatoes in the mixture with a pinch of salt. Now keep it aside and let it cool. Grind the mixture thoroughly once it is cool and turn it into a fine paste. It’s time to prepare the gravy. Take a pan and add bay leaf, butter, red chilies, garlic, ginger, to cook it for 3 to 4 minutes.  Add capsicum, onions cut in a square shape, salt, turmeric, tomato paste, fresh cream, and water.  Cook it for five minutes, and in the end, add the pieces of paneer. Cover the kadhai with a lid and cook on low flame for ten minutes. Turn your digestive juices on!
